Pune: An alcoholic driver rammed 12 people after losing control of his Hyundai Aura car near Bhave High school in Sadashiv Peth, Pune on Saturday. Among the injured 6 were MPSC students who went for tea in the evening at the said spot.
The accused have been identified as Jayram Shivaji More (27) and residents of Samarth Colony Bibwewadi and passenger Rahul Gosavi.
The injured people have been identified as

3) Gulnaz Siraj Ahmed, age 23 years
4) Sonali Sudhakar Gholve, age 30 years
5) Mangesh Atmaram Suruse, age 33 years
6) Amit Ashok Gandhi, age 45 years
7) Sameer Shripad Bhalkikar, age 45 years
8) Somnath Keshav Merukar, age 28 years
9) Prashant Brahmadev Bandgar, age 30 years
10) Avinash Phalke,
11) Prathamesh Patange,
12) Sandeep Khopde
Vijayamala Pawar (Senior Police Inspector of Vishram Baugh Police station speaking to FPJ said, The incident took place around 5.45 pm near Bhave High School in Sadashiv Peth. When speedy Hyundai Aura car crashed in a tea stall injuring 12 people who were standing nearby.
As of now 12 people have been injured including 9 males and 3 females in which 6 are MPSC students.
Four people have got serious injuries and features on their body. One of the female students is seriously injured and the lower part of the body is not working. She has been transferred to Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital from Yogesh hospital. Others are admitted in. Suncity hospital.
Four are seriously injured. However others have been released after medical treatment. Jayram Shivaji was driving the car and Rahul Gosavi was sitting with him.
Pawar said for the initial stage, it seems the accused driver was drunk. However he has been sent for the medical examination at SASOON hospital. Furthermore the matter is under investigation.
Nikhil Pingale, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) said, driver Jayram Shivaji Mule(27), co passenger Rahul Gosavi(27) and owner of the car Digambar Yadav Shinde(27) have been taken in to custody and are under medical examination.
Following the procedures, strict action will be taken against them under relevant sections of drink and drive. Regarding the matter a case has been registering in Vishram Baugh Police station.
