The three-day extended state executive meeting of the state branch, district, and state-level office bearers of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) recently concluded with great enthusiasm at Lonkheda in Shahada taluka of Nandurbar district.
In this meeting, the election process of the state office bearers of the organization for the next three years was carried out democratically. Madhav Bawge from Latur was elected as the state president, while Sanjay Bansode from Islampur (Sangli) was elected as the state working president unopposed.
From Nashik, Dr. Thaksen Gorane has been re-elected as the state principal secretary, Krishna Chandgude as the state working president of the Caste Panchayat Muthamati Abhiyan, and Prof. Dr. Sudesh Ghoderao has been re-elected as the state working president of the National-International Coordination Department.
In addition, Prahlad Mistry and Rajendra Phegde were re-elected to the editorial board of 'Andhashraddha Nirmulan Patrika', the mouthpiece of Maharashtra ANIS.
On this occasion, ANIS honoured Nashik City Branch and Nashik Road Branch with the 'Lakshyavedhi Branch Award'. Also, Prof. Asha Landge, Arun Ghoderao, and Dr. Thaksen Gorane were honoured with the 'Lakshyavedhi Karyakarta Award' by senior social worker Medha Patkar.
Important decisions of the meeting:
The meeting reviewed the major organizational and initiative-based work of the organization's branches across the state in the last three years. After a detailed discussion on the work, some major decisions were taken as follows:
To conduct a public awareness campaign against the hypocrisy being carried out at the national level in the name of spirituality.
To consciously increase the participation of women and youth in the work of the organization and to provide them with training from time to time.
To implement various active activities and programs to instil a scientific approach in various schools and colleges in tribal, rural, and urban areas.
To organise training camps for teachers.
To implement active public awareness activities to celebrate eco-friendly festivals, ceremonies, and celebrations.
To continuously follow up on behalf of the organization so that the Central Government formulates comprehensive laws against witchcraft, black magic, Bhanamati, Aghori, inhuman practices, methods, and traditions, approves them, and strictly implements them.
More than four hundred and fifty activists and office bearers from across the state were present at this meeting.
