Mumbai: Thane’s Jupiter Hospital has become India’s first hospital to install GE Healthcare’s Allia IGS 530 Cath Lab system taking a step ahead in interventional care. It also set a benchmark with the system’s fastest installation in South Asia until now.
On Tuesday, Thane’s Jupiter Hospital announced installation of the new Allia IGS 530 Cath Lab system by GE Healthcare. The newly installed system is said to significantly enhance the precision, safety, and efficiency of interventional procedures across cardiology, neurology, and radiology.
The hospital also received a special certificate of recognition from GE Healthcare for the fastest installation of the Allia IGS 530 system in South Asia, completing the full deployment and clinical activation within a record 72 hours.
The system’s key patient-centric benefits include reduced procedural risk, shorter recovery times, and safer care for individuals with kidney conditions or contrast sensitivities. The system’s real-time imaging and intelligent guidance is said to enable high-precision, personalised care for every patient.

Neelesh Shinde, group chief technical officer and head of projects at the hospital, said, “The Allia IGS 530 offers optimal image quality at the lowest possible dose, which enhances both patient safety and diagnostic accuracy. Features like augmented reality guidance help us deliver more precise interventions, ultimately improving patient outcomes. It also brings a new level of clinical and operational efficiency, enabling our teams to work smarter and faster so we can focus more on the patient.”
