Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A youth axed a 17-year-old girl to death after she refused to marry him in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. The incident took place in village Sakra of Patan area. The minor was studying in 11th standard in a government school.
Accused identified as 22-year-old Rakesh Kumar, a resident of the same village, works in a private job. According to the information, he used to molest the student. He was pressurizing her for marriage. The minor had refused.

According to information, the minor had stepped out of her house at around 4 am on Tuesday. The accused who was hiding nearby came and attacked her with an axe. When the parents reached there after hearing the minor's screams, she was lying soaked in blood. The accused had fled. On reaching the hospital, the doctors declared her dead.
Two days ago also Rakesh had done the same thing. When the girl protested, the accused threatened her that if she did not marry him, he would kill her. she also talked about complaining to the police and after this she went to school.

Murder for revenge
Patan police reached the spot and on the complaint of the girl's family, registered a case of murder against Rakesh and started searching for him. In the initial investigation, the police found that a few days ago there was a dispute between the girl and Rakesh when she opposed molestation.
To take revenge for that, he committed this crime. The minor's family consists of her younger sister and parents. The father is a farmer.
Police searching for the accused
SDOP Lokesh Dabar said, the incident took place when the minor came out of the house. Rakesh was hiding near the house. Suddenly he attacked the minor with an axe two to three times and then fled from there. At present, the police is engaged in searching for the accused.
