Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): After Indore and Bhopal, now Jabalpur has officially started the ‘No Helmet, No Petrol’ rule for two-wheeler riders on Tuesday.
Anyone riding a bike or scooter without a helmet will not be allowed to refuel at petrol pumps across the city, as part of the rules.
The District Collector has issued new orders under which a strict ban will be enforced on riders who do not follow helmet rules.
The petrol pump operators have been clearly instructed not to provide fuel to anyone riding a bike or scooter without wearing a helmet.
According to the administration, this rule has been introduced to reduce road accidents and encourage responsible driving.

Officials said that strict action will be taken against both petrol pump owners who ignore the rule and riders who break it.
There will also be fines for rule violators. This move is part of a bigger campaign to promote road safety in the city.
Authorities believe that making helmets mandatory at the fuel pump level will help create a strong habit among riders.
The district administration has asked citizens to cooperate with the new rule, which aims to save lives and prevent serious injuries on the road.
