Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has criticized Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Check out her post on X below :
During his visit to Bhopal on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Prime Minister ended the fight against Pakistan on the instruction of then US President Donald Trump. Taking a jibe, he said that Trump told the PM, "Narendra, surrender," and later said, "Ji Huzoor."
Taking offense to this remark, Uma Bharti tweeted that the Indian Army has never surrendered to Pakistan. She added that if Rahul Gandhi does not understand English well, he should at least know the difference between "surrender" and "ceasefire."
Notably, Rahul’s visit to Bhopal was aimed at strengthening the Congress organization and infusing fresh energy into it. Congress has been out of power in Madhya Pradesh for the last twenty years. It briefly came to power in the state when it won the assembly elections under the leadership of Kamal Nath.

However, its rule ended in less than 13 months when Jyotiraditya Scindia rebelled against the Kamal Nath government, switched over to BJP along with his supporters and 22 ministers, leading to the fall of the Kamal Nath government and the formation of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government for the fourth time.
This is known as the famous political coup of 2020.
