Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Railway organized "Railway International Fatak Diwas," also known as the "International Level Crossing Awareness Day" (ILCAD), a global campaign to raise awareness about the dangers and safety at level crossings. It is observed annually on June 5th.
The campaign was led by Railway teams and aims to improve road users' understanding of risks and encourage safe behavior.
Main activities of the campaign: This campaign was run in all major railway sections including Guna-Gwalior, Bina-Bhopal-Itarsi, and Itarsi-Khandwa. Artists of the Cultural Academy of Bhopal Division staged street plays at Gate No. 246 near Misrod station and gave safety messages to the people through real-life situations.

Pamphlets were distributed at Gate No. 255 and 256 of the Nishatpura-Sukhisewania section, and messages were broadcast through loudspeakers.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria said that accidents caused by the negligence of road users are a matter of concern.
Railways organizes such awareness programs from time to time to prevent them. On this special occasion, more than 7000 pamphlets were distributed in the division, and safety messages were broadcast through loudspeakers at more than 30 other level crossings.

The construction of a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) is in progress at the busiest level crossings of Bhopal division, which will significantly reduce the possibility of accidents at these places. Along with this, people are also being made aware in the areas around petrol pumps, main roads, and railway crossings.
