Uttar Pradesh News: Mathura To Get 17-Km Nature Walk Pathway Connecting Vrindavan To Gokul

Mathura: A Nature Walk Pathway is currently under development in Mathura, connecting Vrindavan to Gokul along the Yamuna River. This 17 kilometer pathway, with an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore, aims to significantly boost eco-tourism in the Mathura-Vrindavan region, promote environmental conservation, and offer a serene, accessible route for pilgrims and visitors. The project is part of a broader Mathura development plan.

The Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, in collaboration with the state's Forest and Wildlife Department, is undertaking the construction of this unique pathway. Its primary objective is to enhance the natural beauty of the area while providing a convenient and aesthetically pleasing experience for those exploring the sacred sites associated with Lord Krishna.

Officials from the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad detailed that the Nature Walk Pathway will be two meters wide. The Forest Department will focus on enhancing the natural landscape between Vrindavan and Gokul by planting indigenous plant species along both sides of the pathway.

This initiative is expected to not only green the environment but also significantly contribute to local biodiversity. Additionally, the pathway will feature essential amenities such as fencing, lighting, and public restrooms to ensure comfort and convenience for all users.

The Vrindavan-Gokul Nature Walk Pathway is a key component of a comprehensive development and beautification plan for the Mathura-Vrindavan area. Under this plan, 195 projects are underway with a total investment of approximately Rs 30,080 crore, with 23 projects already approved at a cost of Rs 2,300 crore.

This particular pathway is designed to offer pilgrims and tourists visiting Mathura and Vrindavan a unique opportunity to experience the natural splendor of the region on foot. It will allow them to enjoy the tranquility of the Yamuna riverbanks and the lush greenery while immersing themselves in the spiritual ambiance of the region.

Furthermore, the pathway will serve as a recreational and health-conscious option for local residents for their morning and evening strolls.
