In a tragic incident, a 51-year-old man lost his life, and three other people were injured after an uncontrolled Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) garbage truck rammed into the street, colliding with several vehicles. According to the reports, the police have booked the driver of the truck. The incident took place in the Jamalpur area of the city, said police. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera, which is now going viral on social media platforms.
Police have arrested the driver, who is identified as Rahul Haresh Parmar. Police reported that he doesn't have a valid driving license and was allegedly driving the van “negligently”. Police also reported that the driver was driving the vehicle at an excessive speed.
The video of the incident went viral on social media. @ posted the clip on X. The caption of the post reads, "In Jamalpur, Ahmedabad, a garbage truck caused an accident. It collided with 7 vehicles one after another, resulting in one person's d3@th."


Casualities and Injuries
A 51-year-old man, identified as Yasin Yusuf Barafwala, was grievously injured and died on the spot, said the police. Additionally, three more people were reported injured during the accident.
Legal Action
The E Division Traffic police booked Parmar based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s son, Faizan. The accused has been booked under BNS Sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 125(a) (endangering human life or personal safety), 125(b) (rash or negligent act), 281 (rash driving), 324(2) (mischief), as well as the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
