Navi Mumbai: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has extended the deadline for availing the 5% rebate on property tax payments until August 31, giving residents additional time to clear dues with benefits. The move comes under the guidance of PMC Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale, and aims to boost civic revenue collections while easing the process for taxpayers.
Taxpayers Can Access Bills Online or at PMC Offices
As per Deputy Commissioner Swarup Kharge, tax bills for the financial year 2025–26 have already been generated in accordance with Chapter 8, Rule 55 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act. Property owners can access their dues online via panvelmc.org or through the PMC TAX mobile application. For those unable to use digital platforms, physical bills are available at the PMC headquarters and respective ward offices.
PMC Sees Record ₹17.84 Crore Collection in One Day
The PMC has also received an unprecedented response to its ongoing Abhay Yojana (Amnesty Scheme), which provides significant waivers on penalties for one-time tax payments. On a single day, the civic body recorded its highest-ever daily collection, with Rs 17.84 crore deposited into its treasury.
Abhay Yojana Offers Up to 90% Penalty Waiver
Under the scheme, taxpayers making a full one-time payment of property tax between July 18 and August 15, will receive a 90% waiver on penalties. Those paying between August 16 and August 31 will receive a 75% waiver.
Tiered Waiver Structure Continues Till September 20
A 50% waiver will apply for payments made between September 1 and September 10, while a 25% waiver will be granted for those paying between September 11 and September 20, said an official from PMC.

The PMC has emphasized that this is a one-time special initiative, and has urged all property owners to make use of the extended deadlines and benefits.
