Indore (Madhya Pradesh): More than 1500 government job aspirants on Wednesday staged a massive protest in front Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) office demanding reforms to ensure more transparency in the recruitment process.
Some of their major demands included showing answer sheets of all exams since PSC-2019 mains exam, release of marksheets, declaring PSC-2023 results and scraping of 87/13 formula which is being adopted by MPPSC owing to a legal tangle OBC quota issue.
The candidates, under the banner of National Educated Youth Union (NEYU), first gathered at DD Park near Bhanwarkuan around 10.30 am. Holding banners and placards in hand they marched to MPPSC office and staged a demonstration in front of the main entrance where police force was already deployed to control the situation.
The participants raised various demands and sought a dialogue with the MPPSC chairman. However, MPPSC officials did not turn up to meet the protesting candidates. The protest continued throughout the day. Some protestors were still staging a sit-in outside the MPPSC office till filing of this report at 11.30 pm.
Here are the demands
--87/13 formula must end and results should be released with 100% transparency
--Notification for 700 posts in State Services and 100 posts in Forest Services should be released for MPPSC 2025
--Copies of 2019 Mains Exam be displayed, and marksheets should be released
--State Services Mains Exam 2023 results must be declared --Mains exam copies must be evaluated similarly to CGPSC
--No incorrect questions should be set in prelims, like UPSC --Negative marking should be started
--Interview marks should be reduced --During interviews, candidates' names, categories, or surnames must not be revealed
--The protest also aims to encourage the MPPSC aspirants to join the protest to bring the solicited reforms
