Sailana (Madhya Pradesh): An amount of Rs 3 lakh was approved for the construction of a Muktidham following the incident where a man's last rites were performed five kilometres away from the village amid heavy rain.

Free Press published the news on July 4, when Mana Charpota's father, Jalu, passed away and his last rites were performed five kilometres away due absence of a crematorium ground.
After publication of news, SDM Manish Jain formed a team to address the issue, leading to the approval of Rs 3 lakh for the construction of a cremation ground.
Villagers expressed gratitude to representatives
The Bhoomi Pujan for the Muktidham took place recently. The ceremony was attended by Janpad Panchayat president Kailash Baicharel, sarpanch representative Rajesh Maida and other local officials.
The villagers expressed their gratitude to public representatives and officials for their swift response, which has brought relief to the locals. With the construction of Muktidham, it is expected to provide a dignified space for last rites and ensure that no family face such hardships in the future.
