Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Strict action will be taken against the concerned agency and engineer for constructing speed breakers without the approval of the District Road Safety Committee in the district.

Disciplinary action will be taken by recovering the construction amount from them. Collector Asheesh Singh issued an order in this regard that has come into force with immediate effect. Singh directed that speed breakers should not be made anywhere in the district without the approval of the Road Safety Committee.

It can be recalled that a decision was taken in this regard in the meeting of the Road Safety Committee held on July 26. In the meeting, police administration and public representatives were informed that speed breakers are being made without standards by engineers of various departments on main roads of the city without the approval of the Road Safety Committee.

This raises the possibility of accidents. In view of this, it was decided that if such a thing gets repeated, the engineer and agency of the concerned department should be brought under the purview of financial irregularity. The construction amount should be recovered from the agency and engineer and disciplinary action should be taken against the engineer.
