Jaora (Madhya Pradesh): Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya laid foundation stone for three new drinking water tanks under Amrit Yojana during a ceremony at Jaora on Sunday.
The Rs 18.15 crore project includes installation of 79 km of new pipelines and construction of sumpwells.
The function, presided over by Jaora MLA Rajendra Pandey, was attended by former municipal chairman Yusuf Kadpa, MP representative Pradeep Chaudhary, former Ratlam Development Authority chairman Ashok Porwal and local BJP president Rajesh Sharma.

Jaora municipality president Anam delivered the welcome address, while vice president Sushil Kochatta introduced the dignitaries.
In his address, Minister Vijayvargiya stressed on inclusive development and women empowerment. "We must progress together as a society. Our youth should become job creators, not job seekers," he said, adding that estimates for pending works should be submitted through the MLA for approval.
MLA Pandey recounted his political journey from ABVP and sought ministerial support for Jawara's development.
The municipality presented a memorandum demanding 75 new staff positions, Rs 1.5 crore for road repairs, street lighting on key routes and a new municipal office building. CMO Rahul Sharma proposed the vote of thanks.
