Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has announced the launch of its second PhD admission cycle for the academic year, a first in the university’s history.  

The admission process will be conducted through both the National Eligibility Test (NET) and the university’s own Doctoral Entrance Test (DET), with online registrations beginning on May 1.

The application window will remain open for 25 days, closing on May 25. The entrance examination, to be conducted by MP Online, is scheduled for June 14 and will be held in two departments of the university.

The DET will cover 13 engineering and applied science disciplines, including Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Energy, Pharmacy, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Information Technology.

The examination will consist of two papers: Research Methodology and the subject-specific paper, each carrying 50 objective questions. A minimum of 50% marks will be required to qualify.

In parallel, the university will also admit candidates into 24 other subjects based on NET scores. These subjects include English, Computer Science, Law, Home Science, Marathi, Hindi, and Chemistry.

The NET scores from June and December 2024 will be considered valid for this cycle. The list of available seats in these subjects is expected to be published on the university’s website next month.
