Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A special programme was held in Indore division's Agar-Malwa to celebrate Raksha Bandhan and distribute assistive devices to the Divyangjans

The event saw active participation from local officials, dignitaries, and community members, highlighting both the spirit of the festival and the commitment to supporting differently-abled citizens.

Addressing the gathering, the Madhya Pradesh chief minister hailed his ‘Ladli Behnas’ and said the coming era would belong to the women as they would be representing their respective area in India’s Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

He further said, “Jo bhi behen apne bhai ki kalai par rakhi bandhegi aaur uske lalat pe tilak lagayegi to mai samjhuga ka mere mathe par tilak laga hai….(Whenever a sister ties a rakhi on her brother’s wrist and applies tilak on his forehead, I will feel as if the tilak has been applied on my own forehead.)”

The CM also wished the Divyangjans a Happy Raksha Bandhan and congratulated them for receiving tricycles worth over 52 lakhs which will help them ‘lead better lives.’
