Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): CM Mohan Yadav extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan to all the sisters of India irrespective of their religion.
CM Yadav took to X (Formerly Twitter), and wrote, "The sacred thread of Raksha Bandhan reminds us that this bond is for life. I extend my warm wishes to all the sisters of the state, country and across the world irrespective of their religion."
"Raksha Bandhan is a deeply rooted festival in our culture and defines the relationship of siblings beyond caste, creed and jealousy." he further added
Marking the festival on Shravan Purnima, Dr Yadav, accompanied by his wife, performed puja and abhishek of Lord Mahakaleshwar at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. He later visited Shrikesaria Nath Manibhadra Teerth Dham in Bhairavgarh, Ujjain, where he offered prayers to Lord Shri Parshvanath, Lord Mahavir Swami, and Manibhadra Lord.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also sought the blessings of Jain saint Param Pujya Shri Ashok Sagar Surishwar Ji Maharaj, who is observing Chaturmas, by bowing and touching his feet. The CM said such festivals foster harmony, affection, and unity among people of all faiths.
On August 7, CM Yadav transferred Rs 1,500, including of Rs 250, to the accounts of Ladli Behnas as their special Rakhi gift. He transferred Rs 1,859 crore to the accounts of 1.26 crore women.
