Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh’s ‘Ladli Behnas’ showered Rakhis at CM Residence on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, expressing affection for their ‘Bhaiya’ and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
CM Yadav received thousands of rakhis and affectionate letters from the Ladli sisters across the state through the post.
Out of nearly 5k letters and rakhis, a few symbolic rakhis were personally tied on his wrist by citizens at the CM’s residence, Samatva Bhavan.
The Chief Minister applied tilak, accepted the rakhis, and gave gifts to the sisters, wishing them happiness and good health.
Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma and Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Narendra Shivaji Patel were also present at the event.
The letters expressed gratitude towards the CM for the Ladli Behna Yojana and other welfare schemes for women’s empowerment. Many sisters conveyed their heartfelt emotions and blessings.
In his message, CM Yadav said that the state government stands with women like a family in both good and difficult times. He added that he is committed to providing them with opportunities for progress through various schemes.
He added that festivals like Raksha Bandhan are a reflection of the state’s culture and values, and said that he was deeply touched by the warmth and love shown through the letters and rakhis.
