Palnadu: A shocking case of ragging has come to light from Government Junior College in Dachepalli, Palnadu District of Andhra Pradesh. Five second-year Students, all minors, allegedly brutally attacked a first-year intermediate student, subjecting him to physical assault, electric shocks, and death threats. An outsider also assisted the accused in the assault.
A video of the assault has surfaced on social media. The video shows a group surrounding the victim, a boy, and slapping him. They can be seen beating him continuously. The video then shows the victim being forced to sit on the ground, with one of the boys sitting in front of him on a chair. One of the boys can be seen kicking him. In the video, one of the boys then brings what appears to be a live wire. The victim can be seen begging the boy sitting on the chair not to shock him.
Reportedly, the second-year students took the victim to the BC (Backward Classes) hostel, where they tortured him. The group allegedly also threatened to kill him.

Reportedly, the victim’s parents have lodged a complaint with the local police, but they have expressed frustration over the authorities’ alleged inaction.
