Miracle! Man Escapes Death, Crawls Out Of Sludge In Uttarakhand Flash Floods – VIDEO

Uttarkashi: Visuals continue to surface from the massive cloudburst that swept through Dharali village in Uttarkashi. A video surfaced showing a man wading his way out of the sludge.

The video shows, the unidentified man miraculously emerging from the completely devastated area as onlookers can be heard screaming "Bhaag bhaag" from higher ground, encouraging the visibly tired man encouraging him to keep moving.

The clip shows, the man struggling to walk through the sludge as he tries to escape the wreckage. After walking a few steps, he falls to the ground and begins to crawl. The man appears visibly tired to continue. Another man can also be seen in the video running. A man can be heard in the background saying, "arey usko bhi kheech le" (pull him out too), urging him to help the man struggling.

Two cloudbursts were reported in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, on Tuesday, 5 August 2025. The cloudbursts caused severe flash floods along the Khir Ganga River, devastating villages including Dharali and Tharali.

Four Dead & Several Missing

At least four people were reported dead, and several others were missing, as villages were washed away after a major cloudburst struck the Dharali area near Harsil. Another cloudburst was reported in Sukhi Top, approximately 16 kilometers away. Rescue operations are underway.

Army Personnel Missing

Around 8-10 Indian Army soldiers are reported missing from a camp in the lower Harshil area after a cloudburst hit above the Harshil Army base camp following the Dharali tragedy on Tuesday.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Indo Tibetan Border Patrol (ITBP) teams have been deployed for rescue operations.
