New Delhi, August 05: Trinamool Congress (TMC) Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra and former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Pinaki Misra hosted a grand wedding reception on Tuesday, months after their marriage, drawing warm wishes and congratulations from several political leaders. The reception was held today evening at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi and saw the attendance of leaders across party lines.
Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh minister Virendra Singh, who represents Chandauli (Lok Sabha Constituency 76) and is part of the INDIA alliance, shared photos from the event on social media. He tweeted, “Attended the reception of TMC MP Mahua Moitra ji and former MP Pinaki Misra ji at Hotel Lalit. I wish them a happy married life.”
Sagarika Ghose, TMC MP and Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha, also took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the couple. She posted, “Wishing beautiful bride @MahuaMoitra and Pinaki Misra every happiness at their lovely reception this evening. Big congratulations.”

Political Leaders Present
The wedding reception saw many political leaders and guests come together to celebrate. Congress veteran leader Sonia Gandhi is also seen in one of the photos shared by Virendra Singh on his official social media account. Sonia Gandhi is seen sitting along with Ranjeet Ranjan who is the Rajya Sabha MP from Chhattisgarh on the dinner table and greeting other leaders.
Photos from the event also shows Mahua Moitra and Pinaki Misra warmly greeting guests and receiving blessings from friends and colleagues.

Mahua-Pinaki Wedding In Germany
Mahua Moitra, who is known for her fiery speeches in the Lok Sabha and her vocal stance on multiple political issues, married Pinaki Misra earlier this year in a private ceremony in Germany. Misra, a senior advocate and former BJD MP from Odisha, has served multiple terms in the Lok Sabha and is respected across the political spectrum.
