Coldplay's lead vocalist Chris Martin and actress Dakota Johnson were recently in the headlines for their alleged breakup after being in a relationship for eight years. According to PEOPLE magazine, the couple, who have had an on-again, off-again relationship, have finally parted ways. "It feels final this time," an insider told the publication. However, it seems all is well between Chris and Dakota again, as the singer recently gave a sweet shout-out to his ladylove.
Chris recently surprised fans by showing public support for Dakota's upcoming film Materialists, despite reports of their breakup. The film is set to hit theatres on June 13. In a video shared by Deuxmoi, the he was seen performing at the band’s concert in Las Vegas when he gave a sweet shout-out. While thanking his fans during the performance, he said, "Big love to everyone. Don’t forget to see Materialists. We love you."

Earlier this year, Dakota accompanied Chris to Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour in India. She was seen attending three of the band’s concerts, showing her support to her boyfriend—on January 19 and 21 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai, and on January 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
After wrapping the concert, the duo also visited the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
Chris and Dakota began dating in 2017, making their first public appearance as a couple in 2018. In 2024, reports surfaced that they were engaged, but an insider revealed they were "in no rush to get married."
Before dating Fifty Shades of Grey actress, Chris was married to Oscar-winning actor Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple parted ways in 2015 but remain co-parents to their two children: daughter Apple Martin and son Moses Martin.
