The long wait is almost over for millions of BTS fans around the world! As 2025 rolls in, the countdown to a full group reunion begins, with the return of BTS' remaining members from South Korea's mandatory military service drawing closer each day. With two members, Jin and J-Hope, already back and making waves, the excitement is building as ARMY looks ahead to the group's complete comeback.
Jin and J-Hope lead the way
Kim Seokjin or Jin, the eldest BTS member, became the first to enlist and the first to return. He completed his military service on June 12, 2024, and wasted no time reconnecting with fans. From music releases to show appearances, his comeback has been heartfelt and full of energy.
Jung Hosek, belovedly called J-Hope, followed soon after, finishing his military duties on October 17, 2024. He too quickly returned to the stage, treating fans to new tracks and gearing up for a world tour.
When are RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook & Suga returning?
With five members still enlisted, ARMY is eagerly tracking each day on the calendar. While BigHit Music hasn't released official discharge dates, estimated timelines based on standard military durations offer a good idea of when we can expect each member back.
Here's when the rest of the members are projected to return:
RM: Kim Namjoon, the BTS leader, began his service on December 11, 2023, and is expected to complete it by June 10, 2025.
V: Enlisting the same day as RM, Kim Taehyung is also projected to be discharged on June 10, 2025.
Jimin: Park Jimin enlisted on December 12, 2023, and his estimated return date is June 11, 2025.
Jungkook: Joining Jimin on the same day, Jeon Jungkook is also anticipated to return on June 11, 2025.
Suga: Unlike the others, Min Yoongi is serving as a public service worker due to prior health concerns. He enlisted earlier, on September 22, 2023, and is set to finish his service last, on June 21, 2025.
The road to reunion
With all members expected to be back by June 2025, fans are already speculating what BTS' first group comeback might look like. Whether it’s a new album, a world tour, or a special project, one thing is clear: the reunion will be worth the wait.
