In the ever-buzzing world of K-pop, it doesn’t take much for fans to get excited, especially when it involves mega-stars like BTS' Jungkook, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, and SEVENTEEN members Mingyu and Jeonghan. Recently, a Seoul-based BBQ restaurant sparked a frenzy when it posted a video showing autographs from these four idols, leading fans to wonder: did these K-pop icons all dine together?
97-liners spotted together?
The video, uploaded by a content creator at Apgujeong Matzip, displayed the autographs of Jungkook, Cha Eun Woo, Mingyu, and Jeonghan on its walls. The signed walls quickly gained traction across social media platforms, igniting speculation about a possible hangout among the '97-liners, Jungkook, Cha Eun Woo, and Mingyu, who are known for their close friendship. The inclusion of Jeonghan’s signature only intensified fan excitement, with many celebrating what seemed like a rare moment of bonding.
But did they really meet?
While fans imagined the dream dinner meetup, observant ARMYs and CARATs began pointing out a key detail, including the dates. A closer look at the restaurant's Instagram showed that the signatures had been shared on different days. This suggested that the autographs were collected individually over time, not during a single group visit.
In short, while all four stars did dine at Apgujeong Matzip, there's no solid proof they were there together.
Military service timelines add doubt
Adding more fuel to the doubt are the military enlistment dates of Jungkook and Jeonghan. BTS' Jungkook officially enlisted on December 12, 2023, and is currently serving alongside fellow BTS members. His discharge is expected in June 2025. Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan also began his military duties in September 2024, serving through an alternative route.
These dates make it highly unlikely that either could have recently been spotted out dining publicly, let alone with their fellow idols.
On the other hand, Cha Eun Woo and Mingyu haven't enlisted yet. Cha Eun Woo's enlistment date has been set for July 28, 2025, while Mingyu’s plans have not been officially confirmed by PLEDIS Entertainment.
