Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): Tensions escalated among farmers in Madhya Pradesh's as they clashed over the distribution of tokens on Wednesday, at MP Agro fertiliser distribution center in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur.
The incident took place in Kotwali area of the city. The chaos erupted after frustrated farmers protested, claiming that they had been waiting in long queues for the past 2-3 days to collect their tokens for fertilisers.

However, chaos escalated when people broke the line and took tokens out of turn, leaving those who had been waiting in line without any. This triggered an uproar which took violent turns.

As soon as the police received information about the incident, they rushed to the spot and took charge of the situation and began supervising the token distribution.
Farmers allege that they have been making rounds for tokens for two-three days but due to arbitrariness and chaos, they are not able to get fertilisers. After the uproar, the police rushed to the spot and took charge of the situation and began supervising the token distribution.
"We've been standing here for days, in long queues hungry and thirsty, but still not able to get our tokens for fertilisers," said a frustrated farmer.
Every year farmers are troubled about the fertilizer distribution system. Despite, several complaints, there has yet to be a permanent solution to the problem.
