CCTV: Liquor Bizman’s Accountant Looted Of Over ₹30 Lakh At Gunpoint In Middle Of The Road In MP’s Gwalior

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A liquor businessman’s accountant was looted of over₹30 lakh at gunpoint in broad daylight in Gwalior on Wednesday.

The entire robbery was captured on CCTV installed in the area, where armed and masked men can be seen stopping the trader on a scooty and snatching the money from him at gunpoint.

The robbery took place in Indira Colony in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to information, Asaram Kushwaha, an accountant working for liquor contractor Jagdish Shivhare, was riding a scooter with around ₹33 lakh to deposit at Union Bank’s Shabdpratap Ashram branch.

As he reached near the area, two bikes with four men stopped him, and one of them pointed a country-made pistol at his chest and snatched the bag of cash.

The robbers quickly fled from the spot, leaving the employee shocked. Jagdish Shivhare said Asaram had been working with him for nearly 15 years and regularly handled large cash deposits.

Soon after the incident, Gwalior police began checking CCTV footage and launched a search to catch the robbers.

IG Arvind Saxena said that all major points in the city have been sealed, and efforts are being made to trace the criminals through CCTV.

Police are also questioning Asaram as part of the investigation.
