Madhya Pradesh: 4 Government Schools In Bhopal Declared Unsafe

Four government primary and middle school buildings in Bhopal have been identified as dilapidated

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Four government primary and middle school buildings in Bhopal have been identified as dilapidated. Two of these are in Narela Assembly constituency, while one each is in North Bhopal and Huzur Assembly constituencies.

This was revealed in the Assembly by School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh in response to a question by Congress MLA Atif Aqueel on Wednesday.

The dilapidated school buildings include Government Middle School, Sultania (North Bhopal constituency), Government Middle School, Housing Board (Narela constituency), Government Middle School, Chandbad (Narela constituency) and Government Primary School, Akbarpur (Huzur constituency).

Additional chambers have been provided to schools in Sultania, Housing Board and Akbarpur for continued operation. The Chandbad school is currently functioning from a nearby high school building.

Meanwhile, repair work at four other government middle schools has been completed. These include Government Middle School, Shaheed Nagar; Government Middle School, Nirmal Meera; Government Middle School, Brijesia and Government Middle School, Kolua Kalan, all located in Phanda block. The repair projects were sanctioned in 2022–23 through the state head.

Bhopal currently has 123 government primary and middle school buildings. In addition, 18 government high schools and 52 higher secondary schools are operational in the district.

Temporary facilities arranged for continued classes

4 schools repaired recently in Phanda block

5 schools requiring immediate repair
