Datia (Madhya Pradesh): A disturbing case of sexual assault was reported from Madhya Pradesh, where a married woman was allegedly raped at her residence in front of her children, under the Unav police station area in Datia district.
According to police, the incident took place when the victim was alone at home with her children, as her husband was away for work. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused forcibly entered the house at night.
The woman informed police that when she tried to resist, the accused threatened to kill her children and then raped her. After committing the crime, he fled the scene.
According to reports, the accused was identified as Anku alias Ankit Raikwar, who is the victim's neighbour.

Husband returned next morning
When the woman's husband returned home the next morning, both the victim and her children broke down in tears.
On being asked, the woman narrated the entire incident. The couple then went to the police station and lodged a complaint.
Police registered an FIR in the matter under relevant sections of Bhartiya Nayay Sanhita (BNS).
Unav police station in-charge Dhawal Singh confirmed that the accused has been arrested and presented before the court. Further investigation is underway.
