Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): Two human skeletons were discovered in the forests of Madhya Pradesh, as reported by police on Thursday.
According to information, the incident came to light in Dongra village of Ashoknagar district on Wednesday midnight.
The skeletons were found lying under a tree under the Saharai police station jurisdiction, with two red clothes tied to the tree.
As soon as discovered, the villagers alerted the police, who arrived at the scene late at night.
Deceased identified
The two deceased were identified as Shivlal and Ramcharan both residents of Bijauri village. A missing report for the two was filed on August 4 at Bahadurpur police station after they disappeared on June 18. They had been working as laborers in Gaduli village.
Family members had been searching for them after their employer informed them of their departure. Some villagers had spotted the bodies in the forest, prompting a search by over a hundred locals to investigate.
The cause of death remains unclear and authorities are exploring whether it was a case of suicide or foul play.
The FSL team has arrived at the scene and SP Vineet Kumar Jain confirmed that a post-mortem will be conducted at the Medical College in Shivpuri or Gwalior. The area has been marked as a crime scene.
