Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A green corridor was created in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur on Thursday from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College to Dumna Airport to facilitate the urgent transport of a liver and heart from a brain-dead patient for transplant.

This initiative ensured swift and safe delivery of the organs. The corridor was established twice:

First to bring a team of doctors from Ahmedabad to the Medical College and,

then to transport the organs to their respective hospitals.

Heart sent to Ahmedabad

The liver was sent to Siddhant Super Specialty Hospital in Bhopal, while the heart was directed to CIMMS in Ahmedabad. His kidneys were donated to local patients of Jabalpur. In this way, four people would be saved from chronic illness.

The deceased, 31-year-old Satyendra Yadav, tragically lost his life in a road accident near Supatal on Wednesday night. His family made the noble decision to donate his organs.

Satyendra's elder brother, Vijay Yadav, expressed pride in their choice, stating, "Organ donation is a great gift. We have all accepted this decision."

Dean of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Navneet Saxena, confirmed that all organs were successfully transported to their designated locations. He praised the efforts of the medical team in coordinating the transplant process.
