Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Doctors of Chhatarpur district hospital busted the reports claiming a woman giving birth to seven snakes in Madhya on Thursday. They clarified that the medical examination revealed it was strings of blood clots which appeared as a snake.

According to information, a woman named Rinki Ahirwar claimed she gave birth to baby snakes, shocking everyone in the area. However, after a medical investigation, doctors confirmed the truth was completely different.

The bizarre incident was reported from MauMasaniya village in the Khajuraho area which created a wave of panic and curiosity.

What was the matter?

Rinki, wife of Halke Ahirwar, alleged she suddenly experienced severe stomach pain and then gave birth to what looked like two baby snakes. She even claimed that anyone who saw them would die. As the news spread, villagers gathered at her house, and the so-called ‘snake babies’ were reportedly kept under a plastic bowl.

Later, Rinki was taken to the Rajnagar Health Center. Dr. Awadhesh Chaturvedi, BMO at the center, said, “Rinki came to our hospital and told us that she had her periods recently, which stopped on Monday. After examination, it was clear she was not pregnant. What she thought were baby snakes were actually blood clots, which can sometimes appear thread-like or long in shape.”

He added that the ‘snake-like object’ dissolved shortly afterward, and even the woman accepted this. She still had mild stomach pain and was referred for an ultrasound in Chhatarpur.

‘Biologically impossible’

Experts explained that it is biologically impossible for a human to give birth to reptiles like snakes. Such claims are likely due to confusion, superstitions or psychological stress.

A video of the woman crying and claiming she gave birth to snakes went viral on social media. However, doctors' swift response helped bring out the facts and stop misinformation from spreading.
