Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A newlywed groom in Gwalior was duped by his bride on seventh day of their wedding in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. The woman looted away gold jewelry and cash worth lakhs of rupees on Tuesday.
The shocking incident took place in Rai Colony, under Gwalior police station limits. The bride disappeared just eight days after their marriage

Shivam Kumar Rai, the groom, had been searching for a bride for a long time. His sister’s in-laws from Agra found a girl in Bhopal, and after discussions, the two families agreed on the marriage.
The couple got married in a grand ceremony in Bhopal, following all traditions, and then moved to Gwalior.
For seven days, everything seemed normal. The bride stayed with the groom’s family, but on the eighth day, when he left for work, she vanished with all the valuables. When Shivam returned home, he found his wife missing. He tried calling her, but her phone was switched off.
Growing suspicious, he checked her Aadhaar card details and discovered that it was fake. He then looked around the house and realised that the jewelry and cash were gone too.
So far, the groom has not filed a police complaint.
However, the police have stated that they will take action if he reports the incident.
