Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A helmet-less youth thrashed a petrol pump staff member for refusing to refuel his vehicle as part of yhe ongoing ‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ in Jabalpur on Friday. The accused even picked a heavy fire extinguisher can in rage and threatened to attack the employee.
The matter came to fore through a CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump.
According to information, the incident occurred at Taiyyab Ali Petrol Pump in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur on Thursday.
It is said that a dispute broke out at the petrol pump when the employee asked the youth to bring a helmet if he wanted to get petrol. This angered the youth, and in a fit of rage, he lifted the fire extinguisher can to hit the staffer.

In the video, it is clearly visible that after putting the can back, the youth shouted at the staff member and slapped him multiple times.
The situation escalated quickly, causing panic at the pump. Nearby customers intervened and managed to control the situation.
A complaint has been filed at the Omti Police Station, and the petrol pump management is now demanding better security for staff.
Notably, as part of the ‘No Helmet, No Petrol’ campaign, it is mandatory for citizens to wear helmets in order to get their vehicles fueled. However, the citizens are yet to get used to the rule.
