Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The constitutionality of outsourcing recruitments in Madhya Pradesh's government departments has been challenged in the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday.
A petition filed by AJJAKS Sangh, which advocates for employee rights, claims that outsourcing ignores the interests of workers. The petition states that there is no provision for regularisation and employees face harassment due to low salaries and increased workloads.
Additionally, these workers can be dismissed without social security and have no right to appeal. The petition argues that the outsourcing process resembles human trafficking.
Advocate Rameshwar Singh Thakur, representing AJJAKS Sangh, asserts that the rules made by the Finance department for outsourcing are unlawful. He argues that the General Administration department (GAD) should be responsible for such processes, not the Finance Department.
AJJAKS Sangh has previously discussed the outsourcing issue with the Chief Minister and submitted a letter, but no action was taken. As a result, they filed the petition in court.
The hearing for this case is expected to take place on May 5. Thakur has criticised the practice of hiring workers through private agencies for government jobs.
