Madhya Pradesh May 28 Weather Updates: Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm Alert Issued Across 40 Districts Including Bhopal, Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Rain lashed several regions across the state on Tuesday. IMD issued an alert for strong thunderstorm and heavy showers in 40 districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and Rewa.

On Wednesday, early in the morning heavy rain accompanied with gusty winds lashed Indore and surrounding areas offering relief from intense heat. However, the weather pattern is witnessing a combination of high humidity and rainfall. According to IMD officials, similar conditions are going to persist for next two days, with strong winds reaching speeds of up to 50 kmph in some areas.

Rain alert in these districts of the state today

According to the Meteorological Department, the districts which have rain alert on Wednesday include Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Sidhi, Singrauli, Panna, Damoh, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Maihar, Mauganj, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori and Neemuch. The wind speed range between be 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Weather systems active

According to the weather department, a cyclone has formed in the upper part of the air over southern Chhattisgarh and the adjoining Vidarbha region.

Along with this, another cyclonic circulation is also active in the central part of western Madhya Pradesh. Further, a trough extending from south-east Rajasthan to western Madhya Pradesh is formed till northern Chhattisgarh. All these multiple systems together are continuously affecting the weather of the state.

Monsoon is moving forward rapidly

Meteorologists precited that, the cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal can intensify in the next 48 hours and can turn into a depression area. This will make the chances of monsoon moving forward even more strong. Currently, the northern boundary of the south-west monsoon is passing through Mumbai, Pune, Sholapur, Kalaburagi, Mehboobnagar, Kavali, Agartala and Goalpara.

Humidity in the day, rain in the evening

As the state marks Wednesday as the 4th day of nautapa, day temperature soared up in many cities of the state. Bhopal remained hot and humid in the day and recorded 40.2°C. While Gwalior touched 40.1°C.

The highest temperature was recorded in Tikamgarh at 41.5°C. Cities like Indore (35.6°C), Ujjain (37.7°C), and Jabalpur (38.5°C) also experienced scorching conditions before the rain brought temporary respite.

29 May: There is a possibility of rain accomapnied with gusty winds in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Panna, Damoh, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Guna, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Satna, Maihar, Mauganj, Katni, Jabalpur, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori and Neemuch. Strong thunderstorms is also predicted here.

May 30: There is an alert issued for thunderstorm and rain in Jabalpur, Niwari, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Maihar, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Burhanpur.
