Ashta (Madhya Pradesh): Two students of the government’s CM Rise Sandipani School located on Mugli Road in the city fought with each other on Monday.

After a case was lodged at the police station, an FIR was registered against the students. Some members of the Hindu outfit staged a sit-in outside the school on Tuesday.

They also alleged that the principal of the school was not functioning according to rules. The members of the organisation handed over a memorandum to the sub-divisional magistrate, Nitin Kumar Patle, demanding action against the principal.

Patle sent the memorandum to the district education officer, Sanjay Tomar, asking him to inquire into the case.

Tomar sent up an inquiry committee headed by block development education officer Pramod Singh.

Singh, who was asked to submit a report within two days, set up a five-member probe committee under the in-charge principal of Maina, Nilesh Saxena. The protestors said that the students of class 9 formed two groups and beat up one another.

They said that some students did some obscene act with a student of class 9, but the principal did not take any action. The principal of the school was transferred, but he was not relieved from the charge.

Principal of the school Sidbat Khan said there was a dispute between two groups of students, but he convinced them, and settled the issue. He further said that the allegations made against him were baseless and unfortunate.

Block education officer Pramod Singh said a five-member inquiry committee had been set up under the cluster principal of Maina. After the team submits its report in two days, action will be taken, he said.
