Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): MP High Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva administered the oath of office to newly appointed ten judges in a ceremony held at the court’s premises in Jabalpur on Wednesday.
Justice Pushpendra Yadav, Justice Jai Kumar Pillai, Justice AS Bahrawat, Justice AK Nirankari, Justice Himanshu Joshi, Justice Ramkumar Choubey, Justice RK Gupta, Justice Alok Awasthi, Justice RCS Bisen and Justice BP Sharma took oath in the ceremony.
With the ten new judges, the strength in the MP High Court went up to 44 judges. The sanctioned strength of judges in the High Court is 53.
In a welcome address to the ceremony, the newly appointed Justice Ramkumar Choubey flagged the role Intelligence Bureau (IB) in appointment of a judge in High Court.

Justice Choubey said ‘I have had an unfortunate experience in the recent past which jolted my faith in the system.
It was shocking for me to know how an important investigation agency of Government of India Intelligence Bureau (IB) has ashamedly submitted false and fictitious inputs to the concerned authorities in the matter of appointment of the High Court judge’, he said.
‘This is a threat to free and fair justice system, most particularly for district judiciary’, the judge pointed.
