Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh): A heartbreaking scene was witnessed during a rescue operation in flooded Sheopur, after a man and his nephew's bodies were found tightly gripping each other. The photograph has sent shivers down the spine as it shows the duo's struggle to save their lives in the last final moments.
It appeared that the uncle tried to save his 13-year-old nephew, but both were swept away by the flooded Parvati River on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Amlada village of Sheopur district on Wednesday evening. The victims, Rajju Yadav and his nephew Shivam, had gone to their farm to save irrigation pipes and other items from the rising water.
When they didn’t return home by night, their family initially thought they might have stayed at the farm. However, after no contact was made throughout the night, concern grew.

Villagers and family members searched for them all night but couldn’t find any clue. On Thursday morning, as the water level of the river slightly reduced, people went back to the fields - and found the bodies of Rajju and Shivam near the edge of the water, still holding each other tightly.
Upon receiving the news, police and local authorities rushed to the spot. The bodies were sent for post-mortem.
Rajju Yadav was a daily wage laborer who also took care of his farmland. Shivam was a school student who used to help his uncle in farming. Both were known for their hard work.
This incident has shaken the entire village. The administration has started the process for disaster relief aid. The tehsildar and police officials visited the family and assured all possible help.
According to police, they were informed about the 2 bodies found in the farm area. A case has been registered, and further action is being taken.
