Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The principal bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur has granted temporary bail to Chetan Singh Gour, aide of Saurabh Sharma, to take care of his wife who is undergoing surgery and his pre-mature twins, officials said on Wednesday.
A personal bond of Rs 50,000 has been deposited. The temporary bail has been granted till August 28.
Suarabh Sharma, Gour and Sharad Jaiswal have been booked by the Lokayukta police for owning properties disproportionate to their known sources of income. Later, Enforcement Directorate also registered the case against the three under PMLA case. At present, the three are in judicial custody of ED.
In the bail application, Chetan’s wife stated that they married in 2012. She did not conceive because of health difficulties. She underwent two rounds of IVF treatment in Hyderabad.
She had given pre-mature birth to twins, a boy and a girl on June 14 this year and both are in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The wife is also under going surgical treatment and needs physical presence of Chetan to take care of her and their babies.
The court granted the bail stating, “In these circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, but purely on humanitarian ground, this application is allowed and applicant is directed to be released on temporary bail”.
The court has also asked to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 with one solvent surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court concerned. The accused has been asked to appear before court on or before August 28.
