Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government employees have decided to launch an initiative on their first Independence Day in their new apartments in TT Nagar in the city.
The purpose of the initiative, Education for Nation, is to develop habit of saving money and helping others among children. They have decided to distribute piggy banks to all the children urging them to save a part of their pocket money and use it to help others.
The idea behind the decision is to let children learn the importance of saving. “They should understand that no matter what they earn as pocket money, they should save a part of it,” said society chairman Shishir Khatri.

The children will be asked to put their savings into the piggy bank and use the money to help anyone they wish to.
“They can present a packet of biscuits to a child or gift a set of sketch pens to a needy student,” said Aamer Durrani, a member of the society.
Non-gazetted state government employees of departments like forest, PWD, health and police live in the complex, which was inaugurated by the chief minister Mohan Yadav in March this year. It has 364 G type houses.
