Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has come down heavily on Love Jihad and the drug mafia without mentioning the name of the infamous Machhli family.
Yadav said the police had acted against drug addiction in Bhopal. Howsoever powerful such people may be, they have to face the music, he said. Yadav made the statement at the fifth anniversary of the anti-drug campaign on Wednesday.
According to reports, a few BJP leaders have connections with the Machhli family. After the drug case came to light, the photographs of a few BJP leaders with the members of the family went viral on social media.

Through his statement, Yadav has clearly told the police that they should freely act against the culprits. After the drug case, the administration removed the family of Yasin Machhli from the government land that they had encroached upon.
The state government is making all efforts to fulfil its promise to keep Madhya Pradesh drug-free, he said. The government has imposed a ban on the liquor shops and bars in the religious places; besides, the police launched a campaign against drug addiction from July 15 to 31, he said.
At the function, Yadav transferred Rs 339 crore to the accounts of more than 56,52,000 beneficiaries by a single click. Yadav said that a person should draw inspiration from the positive thoughts and himself take an oath to renounce drug addiction and that he should inspire others to stay away from drugs.
To raise awareness among the people against drug addiction, Gayatri Pariwar and Brahma Kumaris are doing appreciable work, Yadav said.
