Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The electricity department has announced that there will be a power supply interruption in certain parts of Bhopal on Sunday, August 10, 2025, due to planned maintenance and improvement works.
Residents are advised to take note of the affected areas and timings to avoid inconvenience.
Area: Idgah Hills, T.B. Hospital, E.M.R.I., 108 Ambulance Office, BDA Colony, Police Colony
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Reason: Departmental works to improve and maintain the electricity supply in these localities. The work will focus on repair and maintenance of the power lines, checking transformers, and ensuring better electricity distribution in the future.
Area: Piriya Mohalla, Siddhi Vinayak, SOS Balgram, Maa Sarswati Vidya Peeth, Laxmi Pati Engineering College
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Reason: RDSS works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, which aims to strengthen the electricity network, replace old wires, and reduce power cuts in the long run.
The department has requested all residents, shops, and institutions in these areas to make arrangements in advance for the three-hour power cut. Those using essential equipment, such as in hospitals and offices, are advised to keep backup power ready.
Officials stated that these works are important for providing a more reliable and stable power supply to the consumers in Bhopal.
