Beggar's 2-Year-Old Baby Girl Kidnapped From Itarsi Railway Station; Accused Traced In Jabalpur

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The GRP has rescued a two-year-old girl from the kidnapper at Jabalpur railway station, police said on Monday. The baby was found with the accused in the waiting room.

The police told Free Press that the mother of the victim baby is a beggar at the Itarsi railway platform.

The incident happened on the intervening night of March 27-28, when the woman was sleeping next to her baby outside the waiting room of platform number 1 at Itarsi Railway Station.

On the next day at around 6 am, when she woke, she was shocked to find her little one missing. She searched for her, inquired the passengers and vendors, but could not get any details.

She reported the matter to the GRP.

The GRP scanned the CCTV footage of the railway station and alerted the other GRP stations about the kidnapping.

Itarsi police coordinated with GRP Jabalpur. The cops found a suspicious man carrying a little girl, as mentioned in the details of the kidnapping case.

The police team raided the spot and arrested the kidnapper along with the girl safely.

The accused has been identified as Anil Raghuwanshi, a resident of the village of Kothargaon in the Narmadapuram district.

The medical of the girl was conducted, in which she found safe.

The police are questioning the accused to find out the reason behind the kidnapping.
