Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 35-year-old father took his own life by consuming poison due to his online gaming debt in Bhopal on Sunday. He first cut himself with a knife and then consumed poison in front of his eight year old daughter.

Arjun Solanki, tragically took his own life in front of his 8-year-old daughter due to his addiction to online gaming and mounting debt. On Friday, Arjun first injured himself with a knife and then consumed poison.

His daughter screamed for help, and neighbors rushed to assist, taking him to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

Investigations revealed that Arjun's addiction to online gaming had caused him to fall deep into debt. The pressure from his creditors had become overwhelming, and it is believed this contributed to his decision to end his life.

Arjun's brother, Mahesh, stated that he had previously lost significant amounts of money to gaming and had taken loans from multiple people, which led to constant harassment. Two months ago, Arjun had also attempted suicide but was saved at that time.

Arjun left behind a suicide note mentioning his creditors.

His family shared that he had previously worked as a rickshaw driver in Alote and had borrowed ₹10 lakh, which they paid off. He later moved to Indore and worked as a security guard, where he took another loan of ₹4-5 lakh.
