Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is finding itself in midst of amazing queries and requests being made by investors post Global Investors Summit.
In some cases, it finds in a helpless condition as investors demands are out of context of the provisions. A senior officer of MPIDC said that one big investor KAYMLI wants to set up next generation lab in state but its demands are very different.
It wants large swathes of land with the condition that the land should not be in seismic zone. It’s not so easy to solve the problems of such kind of investors.
Moreover, the investor is from Research and Design (R&D) and in contrast the government policy supports manufacturing. Then also, MPIDC is following the issue without policy support.
Many investors want that the government should acquire land for them. Normally, the government doesn’t do so as it is the industry which itself has to carry such kind of things.
Moreover, investors have multi-state approach and they compare a state with other states in terms of investment. Hence the work requires branding of the state as well.
MPIDC plans meet soon
Shortly, MPIDC is planning to host the event wherein it is going to invite members of Brands and Sourcing Leaders (BSL) Association and want to facilitate their meeting with the manufacturers of the state.
BSL members are from the country and abroad and they don’t do manufacturing but purchase products from manufacturers. The CM is closely monitoring things in this regard.
If the meeting of BSLA members bear fruit, then the manufacturing sector of the state would receive a huge benefit. BSLA members are from reputed firms such as Wallmart Sourcing, Zivambe, BIBA, etc.
