Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 24-year-old woman was raped and threatened to kill mother by a man in Gwalior on Wednesday.

The woman from Gwalior has filed a police complaint, accusing a man of raping her and threatening to kill her mother.

According to information, the woman stayed silent for some time due to fear and shame, but recently found out she is pregnant and decided to report the crime.

The woman, who works as an event manager, said the accused, Sarfaraz Khan, is from Champaran, Bihar, and currently lives in the Gola Ka Mandir area of Gwalior.

She met him around one and a half years ago during an event in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. They worked together on several events and became familiar with each other, even visiting each other’s homes.

According to the complaint, one day when the woman was alone at home, Sarfaraz came to her house. After spending some time there, he forced himself on her. When she tried to stop him, he threatened to kill her mother.

Out of fear and worry about her reputation, the woman did not tell anyone.

A few days ago, she started feeling unwell. After a medical check-up, doctors told her she was about one month pregnant.

Then, she went to the Hazira police station with her mother to file a complaint.

Police have registered a case of rape and are now looking for the accused. CSP Nagendra Singh Sikarwar confirmed that an investigation is underway.
