Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Tenders of three companies to run Dial 100 vehicles have reached the final stage. The tenders of Bharat Vikas Group (BVG), which is operating Dial 100 vehicles, Jai Ambe Emergency Service and GVK Group have been selected.

The government has finalised the tenders and asked Dial 100 to run its vehicles till August 15. The government has extended the time limit for the group till August 15.

According to sources, out of the tenders of three companies, there are some technical issues in the tenders of two firms.

Call centers are set up to operate the emergency vehicles through Dial 100. According to sources, the officials dealing with Dial 100 and National Informatics Centre (NIC) are holding talks.

Discussions are held with the officials to solve the technical problems. The cabinet sanctioned Rs 1,565 crore in January this year to run the vehicles through Dial 100 in the second phase. The company has to run 1,200 new vehicles with the money.

The first phase of the contract with Dial 100 ended on March 31, 2020. The company has since got extension to run vehicles.

According to sources, the government has clearly told the company that it has to submit tenders within time limit and start running new vehicles.

The government has rejected a proposal put up by Dial 100 to give 16% hike on the rates of running vehicles. The company demanded the hike on the grounds of raising wages of its employees.

The Home Ministry has rejected the proposal for a hike demanded on that ground. There has since been no increase in the wages of the company employees. The finance department also opposed the proposal.
