In a recent statement ahead of Multan Sultans' first PSL match, Rizwan said, "Mujhe iss se farak nahi padta ki mujhe English nahin aati. Mujhe ek percent bhi sharaam nahi hai. Mera se jo demand hai woh cricket hai. Mere se demand English nahi hai. Mere pass itna time nahi hai ye chesse ke liye."

(I don't care about it. I am not educated; I don't know how to speak English. But I'm not ashamed of it even one percent. I am here to play cricket; I am not here to teach English. My nation demands cricket from me. I don't have time to learn English.)

Rizwan's statement highlights his focus on his cricketing career and his priorities as a professional athlete. He emphasizes that his primary responsibility is to perform well on the field and entertain his nation, rather than to learn a new language.

Rizwan-led Multan Sultans, who were the runners-up in the 2024 edition, will open their campaign against the Karachi Kings on April 12 in Karachi. The opening night of the tournament will see defending champions Islamabad United face Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
