Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde Perform Ganga Aarti In Rishikesh Ahead Of River-Rafting Sequence For Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai (VIDEO)
Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde recently travelled to Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, for a crucial sequence in their upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan. Before shooting, the duo participated in the Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, where they wore traditional outfits. They received blessings from Pujya Swamiji and planted a Rudraksha tree.

Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde on Friday jetted off to Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, to shoot a crucial river-rafting sequence for their upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan. Before commencing the shoot at the sacred location, the duo were spotted taking part in Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram.
Surrounded by a huge crowd, Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde were seen dressed in traditional outfits. They both happily soaked up the devotional vibes. The duo also received a Rudraksha plant, Sangam water, and sacred ashes as blessings from Pujya Swamiji, and they planted a Rudraksha tree at the Parmarth Niketan premises.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is a line from the hit song, Ishq Sona Hai, from David Dhawan's 90s iconic movie Biwi No. 1, which was a dance number by Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, an industry insider revealed that Varun and Pooja will be in Rishikesh for a 3-day shoot of the movie. "It would be a 3-day shoot, and they would be shooting a sequence of river rafting," stated the source.
In July last year, the film went on floors, and Varun kickstarted the shooting alongside Maniesh Paul and Kubbra Sait.
This venture marks the fourth collaboration between Varun and his father, David, who have brought a blend of comedy and entertainment to the screen in previous projects like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No 1.
Varun will be seen in Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, Sanya Malhotra, Abhinav Sharma, Akshay Oberoi and others in pivotal roles.
Dhawan also has Border 2 and No Entry 2.
