Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who is gearing up for the release of his film, Baby John, recently opened up on his scary fan encounters, and revealed that there have been incidents when female fans forcefully grabbed and kissed him, and he even got his butt pinched in crowds.
During his appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Varun shared, “It happened in Dwarka. Mazaa nahi aaya bhai, what do you mean if I liked it...A lot of things have happened like bum pinches and all. I did feel a little violated.”
He also recalled how he got scolded by an elderly woman while he was shooting for October in Dwarka, and that too in the middle of 1000 people. Varun revealed that there have been times when people directly ask for his phone number, but he cannot do that.
“This lady once followed me and she forced me to give her my number. She said that Ratan Tata would always share his number. I was thinking why is she talking about Ratan Tata. She got upset and said film stars are arrogant...I ended up giving her a fake phone number,” he shared.
Varun also narrated one particularly scary incident when the wife of a “very powerful man” stalked him and broke into his house. “She was being catfished. Someone was talking to her using my name. She knew everything about my house, and she thought I was going to leave my family. It became very scary,” he said.
He added that he eventually had to call the cops and the situation was finally handled.
On the work front, Varun’s Baby John is all set to hit the silver screens on December 25, on the occasion of Christmas. It also stars Jackie Shroff, Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh in key roles. Made by Atlee, Baby John also boasts of a cameo by none other than Salman Khan.
